Animal Aware ("we", "us") is run by Neil Fraser, based in Stirling, Scotland. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Contact form submissions: name and email address, plus any message you send us
- Email sign-ups: your email address, if you join our mailing list
- Website usage data: Squarespace, our website host, automatically collects some technical data (e.g. browser type, pages visited, approximate location from IP) via cookies and similar technologies. This applies to all Squarespace sites and is set by Squarespace, not us directly. Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiries
- To send you updates about Animal Aware, only if you've signed up for our mailing list
- To understand how visitors use the site (aggregated, non-identifying analytics via Squarespace)

- Contact form / enquiries: legitimate interest (responding to you)
- Email sign-up: consent (you can withdraw this anytime)
Who we share it with
- Squarespace, as our website host and email provider (Squarespace Email Campaigns), for hosting the site and sending newsletters
- We do not sell or share your data with anyone else
How long we keep it
- Contact form messages: deleted after 12 months
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw consent at any time. Contact us at frasern05@gmail.com to do this. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we've handled your data incorrectly.
